Abstract

Creativity and distinguishing it from intelligence has been considered to be of such significance that for the last three to four decades, investigators have been deeply interested in its study from conceptual and empirical angles. Creativity can be placed into three categories on the basis of the emphasis namely the product, the process and the experience. Creativity is the emergence in action of a novel rational product, growing out of the uniqueness of the individual on the one hand and the material, events, people or circumstances of his life on the other. Structure of Intellect’ brought to for the existence of two clearly distinct types of thinking abilities- convergent and divergent.
