EFFECT OF PRANAYAMA ON STRESS LEVEL OF COLLEGIATE STUDENTS

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the present study was to measure the effect ofpranayama on stress level of collegiate students. A Total of thirty four (22male and 12 female)B.P.Ed.Students from I.G.I.P.E.S.S., University of Delhi were selected for this study. Their age ranged between 20-24 years. Stress Questionnaire for College Students (SQCS) developed and standardized bySrivastava A.K. and Singh A.K.was administered to measure stress level of collegiate students. It was hypothesized that no significant difference would be found betweenPre-test&Post-test stress level of collegiate students. For analysis of the data Mean & SD were calculated and to examine the significance difference between Pre-test&Post-test stress level of collegiate students, ‘t’ test was applied, and level of significance was set at .05 level. Study concluded that significant difference found between the means of Pre-test&Post-test stress level ofcollegiate students.
