Abstract

Without the knowledge of grammer it is very difficult to read or write any language properly. As an ancient language to know sanskrit grammer is essential one. On sakatayanas theory of the verbal origin of nouns the whole system of panini is founded. The sutras of that grammarian contains hindreds of rules dealing with vedic forms. But these are of the nature of exceptions to the main body of his rules, which are meant to describe the sanskrit language. In his rules he clearly describe about the nipat which is very important to make pratipadika and pada. Grammarians had learned to distinguish clearly between the stem and the formative elements of words, recognising the personal terminations and the tense affixes of the verb on the one hand, and primaryor secondary nominal suffixeson the other. To make a sentence in sanskrit grammer it is essential to have knowledge in pada. To make pada and to have knowledge on it it is essential to study about abaya and its use and classification.
